Not only does it help you shed pounds, it also saves you money, which is something everyone wants!

Find a workout buddy. In many cases, if there is nobody to keep us accountable, we tend to slack off and neglect what is best for us. Having someone to exercise with will give you the motivation you need to continue on. You and your friend can encourage one other as well as give advice when asked.
